# Importance of Decentralization

Centralized systems are often susceptible to **hacks, fraud, and mismanagement** due to their reliance on single points of control. Asseta overcomes these vulnerabilities by operating on a **decentralized infrastructure**, where:

* **No single authority** has control over user funds, asset management, or decision-making processes.
* The system is **distributed across multiple nodes**, ensuring that operations are not affected by localized outages or malicious attacks.
* All governance decisions are handled collectively by governance token holders, ensuring a **democratic and fair system** where no one entity wields undue power.

Decentralization also protects user assets from **mismanagement, corruption, or confiscation**—problems that often plague centralized systems. By removing central authorities, Asseta creates a **trustless ecosystem** where security is ensured through technology rather than reliance on intermediaries.
